I have major writers block when it comes to writing about daily life.

Current scenario:
Kids are in the bedroom watching old school felix cartoons and eating macaroni and cheese (yes I am a health NUT). It’s quiet and I have US of Tara on in the background. Good show, kind of not that great but keeps my interest for some reason. Maybe women can relate because even if not quite as exaggerted, we all seem to have a few totally seperate personalities.

Well, things are finally starting to normalize a tiny bit so perhaps I will have time to write again. The quick and dirty:

Biz:
Still brilliant and training to be a lawyer (or teenager) as she argues with everything. She has learned the “please, please, please” tactic, which is kind of annoying but easily deflected. She can color (sort of) within the lines and is learning to identify letters. I’d say she knows about 1/3 of the alphabet by sight. She can sing the entire alphabet and can count to 20. She likes soccer.

Andrew:
Still no full words but he does the sounds; mama, dada, num num. And can sign; more, all done, eat and drink. He’s learning animal sounds and body parts. He is VERY athletic. Yesterday he learned a drop kick.

Andy:
Is loving building a brewery and making new friends at his local watering hole. He seems to be finding ways to enjoy the Northwest more this time around.

Me:
I am enjoying being the office more often and hope to start going to YMCA on a regular basis.

He is a bull dozer, a spiller, a runner, a screamer, a tantrum thrower, a cuddler and a big bundle of joy.

Too many things to keep up with and unfortunately this blog is one of them right now. I need to work on that.

The Biz update:
Isabell is blossoming right now. She is learning her letters and eager to be able to read, she loves sounding out words. She also loves telling jokes including this one (made up by her):

Q: “How does the chicken stand on the road?”

A: “Because it’s funny!”

Her enthusiasm sells it.

The Andrew update:
The kid is wild. He is running, spinning, climbing, almost jumping and anything else that requires movement. He is a total boy. No real words yet but he does do mama, num num, ni ni and will nod his head if you ask him a question. He LOVES the Wizard of Oz. Biz has really been into movies lately and that was one of her favorites for awhile. Now I can turn it on and he’ll just play on the bed and watch almost the entire thing! It’s funny because he’s not really into any other show except Blue’s Clues.

Well other than that things are pretty much the same. Andy is still brewing beer, I am still working from home and we are all so happy that it finally rained today!!!!!!!!!!!

Biz just made up a song (see title for complete lyrics). The message is; “brother don’t touch that”.

A year ago today I gave birth in a car. The past year has been a crazy one that has challenged my spirit, my patience and my sanity. The result? One of the silliest, most playful, tenacious and whitest little boys in the world.
